Butterflies in Space |
Discussion: |
For the educators out there, this is an interesting resource to pass on to teachers. For everyone else, well, it's just interesting. NASA is sending Painted Lady butterflies up on Space Shuttle Atlantis to the International Space Station for experiments on life cycles and behaviors in microgravity. Visit: http://www.bioedonline.org/space/STS_Mission_129.cfm for more information. Photos and video will be sent back to Earth and posted on the website. Currently, there is a teacher's guide, a live feed of the ground-based experiment, and resources about setting up butterfly habitats for schools. Enjoy! |
